Hair Color: blonde, but I dye it brunette when the stuff is available (make a blonde joke and I will slug you)
Appearance: My hair's long and down unless I mean business, then it's pulled up. Since we're operating without the comforts of home, my hair
has taken on a personality of its own and turned into loose curls. When it's up and in a pony tail, that means don't mess with me. I like to wear
boots. Jeans, and tank tops, too. When its chilly, I will put on a button down over shirt or vest, or maybe a sweater. Depends on my mood.

Personal Info
Personality Description: Auri is a bit of a loner. She has a hard time trusting people, and an even harder time getting to know others. Much of this stems
from the way her family was ripped apart by the invasion of Souls. While she tries to remain positive and optimistic, she has a hard time staying so upbeat
knowing that the Souls have her child, and that her daughter is lost to her forever.
Predetermined Mentalities: um ... huh? I guess I like to look at things like everything is going to work out if we all work hard and pitch in.
Beliefs: I believe the sun rises in the East and sets in the West. Raised Christian, but not sure if there's a God anymore, not with these souls
learning to exterminate what makes us human.
Strengths: impartiality, loyal, fights for what is right, can do what is best even if it is the most difficult, is not afraid of challenges.
Weaknesses: Her past, afraid of failure, physical limitations, unable to completely connect to others/society, does not trust others easily.
History
Aurielle was born to Kelton and Natalie Jaxon in an upper class suburbia in Boulder, Colorado, sent to private schools through Elementary and finally
attending a special arts High School to encourage her vocal abilities. While she was always exceptionally bright, Aurielle never fit into the proper social
class her parents dreamed for her. She preferred sports to "girlish" activities, and kept a healthy and active lifestyle. Aurielle was vibrant
and headstrong. She was well liked despite her anti social tendencies by her peers, and held a general respect from the adults in her life. All except her
parents. Because of this, and excessive boredom caused by being too advanced for her age group, Aurielle began to rebel in small little ways. Mostly
involving boys.
When she was 16, Aurielle found herself pregnant in the fall. The father, a Senior pianist named Joshua Karson, proposed marriage to Aurielle, but she
refused. The summer before senior year, at the age of 17, Aurielle gave birth to Olivia Jaxon-Karson. With her parent's support, Aurielle was able to
finish her Senior year with honors going to the campus only for voice lessons, and taking advantage of a new distance learning program (funded the year,
privately, and developed in a rush) for her other classes, allowing Auri to parent and finish in time with her class. After graduation, against her
parent's wishes, Aurielle took a job singing at a Jazz nightclub. It paid well, and the tips were excellent. Before the summer was out, Aurielle had
enough money to rent a nice condo down the street from work. Even though it was within walking distance, her parents gifted her with a four-wheel drive
truck to get around in and protect her small daughter in the cold, harsh winter.
The relationship between Aurielle and Joshua was cordial. While the issue of marriage out of propriety was quickly laid to rest, Aurielle wanted Olivia to
know her father. She saw him as a good and ideal man. He worked for the theater in Denver. Joshua traveled a lot, but sometimes took Olivia with him. Other
times, she would stay with him and his parents in boulder. All was going quite well. Joshua's parents were the first to change that. They were some of
the first humans to fall pray to the implantation. Joshua came next. Time was stretching out. Aurielle was nearly 21, Olivia was 3. Auri began to notice
the difference in Joshua. His habits changed, and he began to lose his enthusiasm for piano, opting instead to work as an overnight stocker in a grocery
store. He began to insist he saw Olivia every weekend, much steadier than he had been in the past. It began to worry Aurielle.
Whispers had begun that the invasion was full scale, and Aurielle began facing pressure to take her child in to the hospital from everyone. Word of a
disease was spreading, they said. People went in, and had a brief exam to be sure they were not carriers. It was a trying time. Faced with some new
information, Aurielle concluded that Joshua had indeed been implanted. She tried to postpone his visits, making excuses and taking trips with Olivia to
prevent her being alone with her father. Making plans was never Auri's strong suit, but she had no choice. She was looking into cities, trying to find
a place that would be safe for her and Olivia. Auri had quit her job, but still took Olivia to her preschool while she bought supplies and prepared their
trip. But the day she was going to leave into the sunset, Joshua picked up Olivia from her daycare center and took her for implantation.
When Aurielle went to pick her up, she took one look at her daughter and felt the change. She turned around and walked out, leaving her there. Olivia was
now one of them. Joshua would have to pick her up, she told the staff. And without looking back, she left, her tear stained eyes blurring the road. She was
alone, on the road, for a week before the Rebels found her hiding a few miles into the Rockies. She joined them, relieved to no longer be alone.
She's lived with the Rebels in the mountains for 3 years, and has traded in her entertainment career for one in sharp shooting and raiding the
Soul's supplies to keep the steadily growing Rebellion stocked.
Other Info
I hate peas.
Character's "Signature" Quote:
"We all have pasts. But coming here, we can use that to our advantage. It makes us stronger, and gives us more incentive to fight. Not just for the
future, but for what we lost. The unification makes us all understand and love and accept each other, even if we are complete strangers. Because we're
surviving the same war. The war for our species, our planet, and our souls. One day, our suffering will have meant something. We can't give up on the
future of humanity."
Job
Aurielle worked as a singer for an upscale Jazz club in Boulder, Colorado. She was also a full time single mother before her daughter was implanted at her
father's hand.
